3.) Long term goals: Partners need to be willing to discuss with each other where they see their live heading because love is a journey that two people have to take together. A straight shooter who plans to land himself a good job and live the rest of their life with a heavy workload should take exercised caution if the partner desires to work only enough to enjoy trips and vacations. This will be something that if partners can’t come to terms with or see eye-to-eye on is the most likely candidate to ruin a romance. (more…)

Letting Go

So much of what we hold onto is emotional and can gradually turn into a problem such as hoarding. We all have mementos from our past that we like to keep and that is fine. But if you have every stuff animal from your childhood and every trinket that anyone has given you as a gift, it may be time to let go. Learn to be “okay” with not keeping everything someone hands you. If it has no special meaning or a place to be displayed, let it go for someone else to enjoy. Think of the joy a small child may have with one of your many stuffed animals when you donate it to a family in need.

Yard Sale

After you have successfully went through every room and outdoor area, you may be surprised at how much you have accumulated that you could sell at a yard sale. With yard sales you can sale just about anything and turn a profit. The trick is to sell at really low prices from 25 cents to several dollars and get rid of the clutter. Exchanging Casual for Chic: Moving to the Big City

Published by Nationwide Relocation Services on March 23rd, 2012

Moving from the country to the city may conjure up straw hats and checkered shirts a la Beverly Hillbillies. Nationwide Relocation Services scam detectives recommend that you check out the truck being used to move you. Today’s generation of country dwellers live in communities with indoor plumbing, electricity, solid brick houses and many of the conveniences that city folk are familiar with. They do not rely on one general store for all of their needs, as there is generally a town where there are modern offices, professionals and nice stores.

The Importance of Education: Check Out Schools Before Your Mov

Published by Nationwide Relocation Services on March 8th, 2012

If you know the basic area of where you are moving, be sure to have a look at each area and find out more about it with regard to:

  • Crime Rate. This is an important step when you have no clue of what each area offers. Sometimes high crime areas border nicer towns and without knowing this before moving, you could be locked in for a while.
  • Real Estate. Research homes and resale values. Find out what is in the areas that you are interested in. Check out industry and commercial zoning as well.
  • Schools/Education. Even though zoning may change over the course of a year, check out the quality and accreditation each school before deciding on where to live. It is often difficult to get a school change approved. If you move closer to the center of that zone, there is a better chance of no changes.
